FootGolf in the United States

FootGolf was introduced in North America in 2011 by the AMERICAN FOOTGOLF LEAGUE, the Major League of FootGolf in the United States.

By mid 2012 introductory tournaments were taking place around the country. Current and former soccer players began discovering FootGolf and quickly became serious competitors of the sport. WHAT IS FOOTGOLF

A national and international presence of the sport was developing and governing bodies were being established around the world. Rules were developed for play and the game was quickly following the rules of golf with adjustments made to adapt rules to kicking a soccer ball into a 50-52cm cup on the fairways. The governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the U.S. is the AMERICAN FOOTGOLF FEDERATION

With the demand for play, golf course operators saw a way to gain additional revenue by bringing in the sport and hundreds of courses across the country added FootGolf to their courses as a regular activity.

A structure of the sport was created, equipment was being developed and manufactured to supply courses with an easy option for adding the sport and next was a way for players to compete. THE OFFICIAL FOOTGOLF STORE
